Golf + Program
UNLOCK YOUR GOLF PERFORMANCE.
Develop Strength, Stability & Power for Golf
Golf+ is our 2-hour golf performance assessment designed to identify the physical factors limiting your game.
Hour one is a manual full-body evaluation, reviewing movement, mobility, training history, and previous injuries. Hour two uses sports science technology including Meloq force plates, the Output sensor, and EasyForce dynamometer to assess force production, balance, and asymmetries.
After your assessment, you’ll receive a a PDF of your results and then most importantly a personalised training program delivered via our app to improve the areas identified. The package also includes 1 month of free Open Gym membership at Gym Geek or we can adapt the program for you to train in any gym. (This is not Golf Swing analysis)
Train Like an Pro
Over the past decade, the importance of strength and conditioning in professional golf has grown massively. The modern game now demands greater power, mobility, and physical resilience, with many of the world’s best golfers using structured physical training to improve performance and reduce injury risk.
Research supports this shift. Studies have shown that strength and conditioning programs can increase clubhead speed and driving distance, with interventions typically producing around 4–6% improvements in swing speed, ball speed, and distance measures.
Other peer-reviewed research has also demonstrated that improving core and upper-body strength can significantly increase drive distance in golfers, highlighting the important role physical training plays in performance.
Golf+ is designed to bring that same performance-focused approach to your game.
GOLF + Strength Training – What the Science Says
Increased Clubhead Speed
Resistance and power training improves the ability to generate and transfer force through the body. Research shows structured strength and conditioning can increase clubhead speed by ~4–10%, leading to greater ball speed and carry distance.
Improved Power Through the Kinetic Chain
Golf is a rotational power sport. Strength training improves how force moves from the ground → hips → trunk → arms → club, helping golfers produce higher ground reaction forces and more efficient swings.
Improved Swing Consistency
Greater strength and stability help golfers maintain swing mechanics for longer, especially under fatigue. This can lead to better balance, posture, and more consistent ball striking.
Reduced Injury Risk
Golf commonly stresses the lower back, shoulders, elbows, and wrists. Strength and mobility training helps improve spinal stability, increase rotational mobility, reduce asymmetries, and improve overall load tolerance.

JACK
I attended Athleek after a period of back and hip stiffness that was starting to affect my golf. The assessment was thorough and the programme was clearly structured around improving mobility, strength, and rotational movement. As the sessions progressed, exercises were adapted to build strength and stability in the areas most important for my swing. Over time I noticed better movement, less discomfort, and greater confidence during my rounds

JAMES
As a parent, I was really impressed with the support James received at Athleek after breaking his ankle playing football and needing surgery. Lloyd explained each stage of the rehabilitation clearly and made sure the exercises were appropriate for his age and stage of recovery. It was reassuring to see James gradually regain his strength, movement, and confidence before returning to sport.
